2. Lamine Yamal (Spain)
Despite only playing the final stages of the match, Yamal transformed Spain’s attack.

5. Joao Paulo (Cape Verde)
The Cape Verde midfielder was a pillar of resistance against one of the tournament favourites.
Joao Paulo marshalled the both the midfield and the left wing back superbly, helping keep Spain’s attackers at bay. Whether dealing with crosses into the box, making timely interceptions or maintaining the team’s defensive shape, he played a key role in ensuring Cape Verde emerged with a famous clean sheet.
